Angie and Jeffery met in Walnut Creek, CA over 18 years ago at a brewery where Jeffery worked and their story began.

Jeffery started as a tap room employee in 1998 at Pyramid Alehouse and Brewery in Berkeley, California.  Over the next nine years he worked his way up into a General Manager role, a position he held for another four years.  He became well versed in the brew process and the marketing and sale of beer in a retail taproom with sales over four million a year.

​

Angie worked in marketing for bay area boutique real estate firms, where she designed print materials and photographed beautiful homes.  She then moved to marketing for a small, family run construction management company for four years.

 

During this time Jeffery and Angie built a life together in the bay area, got married, started a family and in 2011 they moved to Minnesota (to be closer to Angie’s family) for their next adventure.

Jeffery was hired as a cellarman brewer and floor manager at Granite City Brewery and Restaurant.  Within one year he was promoted to Regional Brewer, a new position the company created.  In this role he was responsible for fermentation and completion of all beers in four different locations.  As he grew into this new position, so did the job itself. He brewed small 7 bbl test batch beers in Granite City’s very first location in St. Cloud, ran shift brews on a 25bbl brew deck in Iowa, oversaw 5 other cellar houses, and built a strong base in the production side of the beer industry and in the local Minnesota craft beer community.

Angie worked in the local schools as a Reading Tutor for MN Reading Corps and as teacher assistant/clerk.  For the past five years she worked as a real estate assistant/marketing guru for a high producing realtor at Coldwell Banker Realty.  She also dabbles in creating charcuterie boards.

 

Years back, while sitting in a local brewery, Angie felt it might be time for them to fulfil their dream of opening a brewery and the spark was ignited.  They've been very blessed with amazing friends and family that helped support them to this point and they wouldn't be where they are today without any of them.
